Started off as a small project, a friend and I created EaseCation back in 2015. We wanted to create a fun and stable experience for Minecrafters. Over the following months, the project steadily gained popularity. We regularly had over 200 concurrent players distributed across three servers. I developed the core infrastructure and tools necessary to support hundreds of concurrent players while actively engaging with our players to incorporate their feedback into dozens of new mini-games and features.
Later in the year, we reached 1 million registered players. Developing and maintaining infrastructure at this scale was no easy task. As we gained popularity, so did the size of our team -- we managed to build a team of engineers, builders, content creators, and moderators.
I strove to build an incredible experience for over 5 million registered players who have enjoyed EaseCation from around the world. In 2018, we partnered with NetEase, Inc. to enhance the gaming experience and make EaseCation accessible to a wider audience.
In 2020, we regularly had over 8,000 concurrent players across 34 servers. We also had a strong team with over 50 members. Around this time, I decided to step away. I was confident in EaseCation's future without my involvement as I focused on new endeavors.
There's a lot more to share about my experience that doesn't fit here. If you have specific questions or are curious about the EaseCation journey, please don't hesitate to reach out!
